Habitat Capital Resources Corporation

Habitat Capital Resources Corporation (HCRC)

The Habitat Capital Resources Corporation (HCRC) is an emerging CDFI, which stands for: community development financial institution. CDFI’s provide credit and financial services to underserved markets and populations.

The mission of HCRC is to stabilize communities through increased homeownership opportunities for low, moderate, and medium income households throughout Ohio with the use of financial products and development services that help make home purchases affordable and sustainable.

Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio is a wholly-owned nonprofit mortgage company, and offers access to the HCRC that provides mortgage products to low-and-moderate income households across the three-county service area.

HCRC financial products support both increased access to affordable homeownership and increased supply of affordable homes. HCRC development services provide education to help homebuyers become successful homeowners for long term homeownership sustainability. The CDFI Target Market will be defined as those with incomes between 30% and 80% AMI.

HCRC financial products include home purchase mortgages at 0% interest rate. Future financial products include affordability gap funding and home purchase loans for existing homes. HCRC development services include Homebuyer Education for applicants approved for HCRC financial products. Future plans include making these products and services available to income eligible households throughout Ohio.

HCRC engages in responsible financing practices by obtaining all necessary licensing and certifications for the organization and ensures that applicable staff are fully licensed and trained per relevant state and federal regulations.
