Columbus, OHIO 10/6/15 On Oct. 6, Bank of America employee volunteers will partner with representatives from Habitat for Humanity MidOhio and a local family from Columbus to build a home. Karen Bell, the soon to be homeowner, works in housekeeping and is a home health care professional. Even with her busy schedule as a single mother of four, she has already completed a quarter of her sweat equity requirements since being accepted into the program in December 2014.
The event in Columbus is part of the bank’s second Global Build Week, which kicks-off on United Nations’ World Habitat Day. Throughout the week, Bank of America will join forces with Habitat for Humanity to address affordable housing challenges here in the Columbus community, as well as in more than 60 other U.S. communities and 7 international cities including London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Jakarta, Manila, Toronto, and Mumbai.
